This JYM Army member used fitness to take control and build a healthier, happier, more successful life for himself.


A Journey of Transformation

My primary goal when beginning my fitness journey was to lose weight, regain mobility in my legs that was lost due to numerous knee and ankle injuries, and become an active father again to my soon-to-be teenage daughter.

Over the course of April 2021 – February 2022, I lost over 80lbs (from 320lbs+ to under 240lbs), regained mobility, gained strength in all facets of my weightlifting routines, and most importantly, took on a coaching role for my daughter’s basketball team. We’re currently 5-2 and in the hunt for a U12 house league title!

Fueling the Journey: How Jim Stoppani’s Programs and Supplements Made the Difference

My transformation was powered by a series of Jim Stoppani workout plans. I started with the 2021 Summer Shred Challenge and followed it with other notable programs, including Show Time and Fitter, Faster, Leaner. Each program pushed me to new levels.

Dieting was a game-changer too. I transitioned from intermittent fasting to using Dieting 101 to fine-tune my nutrition. This shift helped me retain muscle and cut fat more effectively.

My go-to supplements? Pre JYM, Post JYM, Pro JYM, and Iso JYM, among others. They’ve been essential to my success.

Overcoming Obstacles: Battling Injuries and Addiction

After reconstructive ankle surgery, I dealt with severe pain and even a dependency on alcohol. Fitness gave me a purpose, and the JYM Army Facebook group kept me motivated. Sharing struggles and victories with others pushed me through tough days.

The Power of Consistency

Setting small, achievable goals was key. Every milestone brought me closer to long-term success. My daughter’s pride in my journey continues to be my biggest motivator.
